Who we are
The Foundry Firm prepares research and development tax credit studies. "We" and "us" mean The Foundry Firm. "You" means anyone who uses the site or the portal.
The site is information
What we publish about the research credit is general information about how the law works. It is not advice about your situation, and reading it does not make you our client. Advice comes with an engagement, in writing, and only after we have looked at your facts. Tax law changes, and we may not update every page the day it does.
Affiliate accounts
Anyone who opens an affiliate account agrees to the following.
- The information you give us is accurate and is yours to give.
- You keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has them. What happens under your account is your responsibility until you do.
- You refer only businesses you have a real relationship with and permission to refer, and you describe them honestly.
- We may pause or close an account that we believe is being misused, at our judgment.
The affiliate relationship itself, including how and when you are paid, is governed by the affiliate agreement you sign in the portal. Where that agreement and this page differ, the agreement controls.
What you may not do
- Copy the site or the portal by automated means, or scrape what is on them.
- Interfere with how either one works, or try to reach parts of them you have not been given access to.
- Give us false information, or submit a referral for a business that has not agreed to be referred.
- Use the site or the portal for anything unlawful.
Our content
The words, design, and marks on this site belong to The Foundry Firm. You may read them, link to them, and quote short passages with attribution. Anything beyond that needs our written permission.
Other companies' services
Sign-in for the portal, payouts, and some measurement run on services provided by other companies, named in our privacy policy. Their terms apply to your use of their services. Links to other sites are provided for convenience, and we are not responsible for what is on them.
What we do not promise
The site and the portal are provided as they are. We work to keep them accurate and available, but we do not promise that they will be free of errors or interruptions, and we do not make any warranty about them that the law does not require us to make.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses that come from using the site or the portal, or from being unable to use them. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here changes what the affiliate agreement or a client engagement letter says about the work we do under them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute about them will be heard in the courts of that state.
Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. Continuing to use the site or the portal after a change means you accept the new terms. If a change affects affiliate accounts in a way that matters, we will tell account holders before it takes effect.
